High fives and calendars collide
Broken opportunities beckon smiles of good riddance
So long, i've longed for some persistence
In keeping with the words for some realism
I'm reliving symmetries of a similar past
Life's leaving pictures from a primitive mess
Someone's shoulder to cry on
Has malfunctioned instead, wishing they'd lept from the well
And as I awoke in my bed
Having jumped through the deserts, over the ocean's fence
Leave for work under the influence of clarity
Dressed in sheets of the devisive and creative, forbid my dreams
I'm reliving symmetries of a similar past
Life's leaving pictures from a primitive mess
For someone's shoulder to lean on
Resolving symmetries in denile, in the distance
I'm blind, I blink, I wink at the soul of the little fun
Laying awake in my bed
On the phones amongst the islands
Just another empty filled and left to scream in the libraries
I'm receiving symmetries from a similar past

Life's leaving mysteries from a primitive mess
We've malfunctioned instead, our lives have lept from the well
We've malfunctioned instead, our lives have lept from the well
Broken opportunities beckon smiles of good riddance

Quality, rather dark! But quite a positive ending. I think anyway. Whats it a parody of?
ReplyDeleteThanks mate, it's a parody of Wintersleep - Dead Letter and the Infinite Yes. Ending could certainly be seen as positive, in my eyes the end is like a reality check. For the most part the parody deals with confronting the inevitable and some of the quetions we have that can overwhelm us from time to time that may never be answered.
